I remember Camaro and some others discussed this before. You can have such a weapon. It just has to have insane recoil and low RPM, so its effective fire rate is less than its given RPM. It also has to have a very slow ADS, Slow movement speed and only a 1 HK with a headshot. It can deal 95 damage to the torso but it won't result in a 1HK.
Here are my suggestions to balance out the M249 as suggested by HEIL and M82 as suggested by Triggeredaf
Unlock rank: 26 (Slightly behind the M60)
Damage: 32 -> 20
Range: 40 max -> 140 min
Rate of Fire: 725 RPM
Magazine size and Ammunition: 100/200; Can pick up ammo from any 5.56 assault rifle, carbine, and every LMG
Concept or Idea of the weapon: An LMG that can supress an enemy by accurately placing multiple shots in quick succession, effectively becoming as suppressive as the M60
My idea is that it will have a low recoil climb, allowing the user to put 5-7 shots near eachother, but will have low weapon re-center time, meaning it will take longer to recover after firing. High horizontal recoil will make sure the user will not abuse this weapon. Other than that, it'll have all the handling penalties of the M60 including reload speed, slow ADS, and slow movement speed.
As a joke
M249 STANAG (Still in the LMG category)
Unlock rank: 46
Rate of Fire: 725 RPM
Magazine and Ammunition: 30/210; Same sources of ammo as before
Concept and Idea of the weapon: The same as above, but is lighter, has less horizontal recoil and more vertical recoil, and ADS, reloads, and overall handles faster for the price of ammo carried and vertical recoil.
Lmao think of it as a high firerate version of the L86 LSW, but with more muzzle flash.
Barret M82 (here we go, forgive me camaro and heil)
Category: DMR (I can't bring mysef to put this in the Bolt action society)
Unlock rank: 82
Damage: 95 -> 75 (No 1HKO for u)
Range:30 max -> 150 min
Rate of Fire: 120 RPM
Multipliers: 2X to the head (190 -> 150)/ 1.1X to the torso (104 -> 82)
Magazine and Ammunition: 10/40; can pick up ammo from the SFG 50 and other sniper rifles except the Mosin
Concept and Idea of the weapon: An anti-material, counter-sniper rifle that can be used to eliminate multiple targets from range
Role to fill: For snipers who dont like unscoping after every shot, rewards players for sniping defensively, and to take care of things.
So, how can we balance a beast? I'm thinking we can limit the attatchments available for the rifle to:
EoTechs, Coyote, Reflex, Comp Aimpoint, Vertical, Angled, Folding, Stubby, Muzzle Brake, Compensator, Laser, Green Laser, Canted sights, and the Bal Trak.
Now before you lynch me for allowing the BT, I'm suggesting the rifle starts out with Iron Sights, then acquire the PMII scope at around 100 kills. When equipped with the scope, the BT is unavailable to be equipped.
The rifle will be heavy. As in BFG 50 heavy. Reload will be similar to the AW family, except with the AK style 'off hand prime'. The weapon will have high vertical recoil, horizontal recoil won't be noticeable unless you've sprayed around 3 shots. Firing the rifle at it's maximum speed will make it inaccurate.
TL;DR VERSION: M249 as a low recoil LMG with high horizontal recoil and slow recenter time; M249 STANAG- M249 with 30 round mags, faster than the M249 but with more vertical recoil and less horiontal recoil; M82 as a slow, heavy hitting DMR that 1HKO to the head at all ranges
@holygaming no HMGs please. Most of them usually are high caliber, high capacity (maybe 100+ rounds?) and not very mobile. I doubt you can walk and fire one either.
Heres an excerpt of what a HMG is: HMGs are designed to provide better penetration and destructive power against vehicles, infrastructure, and aircraft beyond the standard rifle calibers used in medium or GPMGs.
Meaning this might be more powerful than the belt fed LMGs in game.
Mate, No Russian can't be added because it's a scene frm MW2 that was controversial to everyone, and adding it to an environment with children as the minority won't help. And 20 min damage with a 1k firerate? Screw the Vector and the already-in-intense-trauma Colt SMG 635 I guess.
And, again, read the message I posted above. Thank you for your cooperation.
New sniper rifle maybe - someeething... Modern - like:
-m40a3 / m40a5 (looks better by front accessory rail)
-Bor rifle (bullpup)
-SSR (Desert Tech Stealth Recon Scout)
-GOL Sniper Rifle
-Big-Mac - MacMillan TAC 50
(but i guess there is enough .50 cal gus for now)
Sorry for the long list but i'm really hoping for something new, scout isn't so bad but i guess there is still a place for a sniper's cherry on top :0
Am I the only one who thinks the Martini-Henry rifle would be cool?
Martini Henry - Similar to the BFG and Henry .45-70, would be similar to the Henry in terms of damage. Has higher muzzle velocity than the Henry at the cost of reduced mobility and/or ADS speed.
M249 - Somewhat a hybrid of the MG3KWS and M60. Stronger than the MG3 but weaker than the M60. Velocity is slightly lower than the M60, but close. Fire rate is approximately in the middle of both weapons. Mobility is slightly higher than the M60, but still low. High Muzzle flash. Great penetration abilities. Good suppression.
Tar-21 - Similar to the HK416, but with greatly reduced ranges, higher muzzle flash, and slightly reduced velocity. great ammo reserve, good suppression, and reload speed. A very agressive AR.
HK417 - Higher power HK416 with increased max range, Increased recoil, lower mobility, higher penetration and roughly equal supression to the 416.
Skorpion Z96 in either the pdw or atomatic pistol and it has a fast fire rate and little recoil but damage is low. 20 round mag or 10 round mag. Most probaby with a low ttk with little recoil the stock will be lowwerd on the model as intended .
Perhaps a crossbow seacondary. high damage, lots of projectile drop, long reload and only five reserve rounds. 70-80 damage on bodyshot, 100 on headshot. no suppresors or optics attchmant options. also very minmal or nonexistent range damage reduction, and the ability to use armor piercing/fire arrows. and please make it not insanley high ranked.
I would say a modern Crossbow as a primary, comes with extremely slow muzzle velocity (1500 studs/s) but insta-kills when hit (including the torso), you'll never be revealed on the radar. Comes with a reserve of 16 bolts. Reloads will be set to a pretty painful 4.1 seconds. There will be no barrel attachments. Comes with Iron Sights by default (Although you'll have access to a 6x Scope, maybe the Leupold right at the beginning).
I could suggest explosive bolts as an alternative ammo but I'd be pretty darn sure that it will take way less skill than the M107 or BFG. So no.
An assault rifle chambered in 5.56x45 NATO. Has a slightly lower damage than the HK416. Has ballistics in between the M4A1 and the M16A3. Rof is 900rpm. Also has an exclusive integral suppressor attachment, which will the last barrel attachment unlocked for the weapon.
A shotgun that has a similar range to the Remington 870, and has a similar fire rate and damage to the Spas-12. Has a 6+1 ammo capacity.
A pistol that is chambered in .357 SIG. Has a higher damage than the M9 and G17, but a lower damage than the M45A1 and M1911. Has a 14+1 Magazine capacity.
A pistol that is chambered in .45 ACP. Has a 12 round magazine, and has similar damage to the M45A1. Rof is a little slower than the M45A1.
A DMR that has a fire rate that is similar to the Mk11, while having a similar ballistics and damage to the MSG90. Either has a 10 round magazine, or a 20 round extended magazine.
A machine pistol chambered in 9x19mm ammunition. Has a high Rof, but has high recoil. Has a 20 round magazine.
Also, Phantom Forces is falling to Arsenal, which features more unique weapons. But still better than tending to be an a-hole by adding 1,000 civil-use AR-15 variants. Atleast they should add guns like Galil, QBZ, or Skorpion. The problem is, they've run out of ideas and just started modding existing guns in order to keep the game alive.
Phantom is a more focused quality game, based almost solely on skills and skills alone, while games like Arsenal have MICROTRANSACTIONS for skins, melees, and just customisation, therefore more appealing to snotty little Fortnite mains. PF is more like a real battlefield experience, revolving around communication, Teamwork and tactics, but Arsenal is a free for all mess. And since there are more younger users on roblox than there are teenagers and young adults, Arsenal comes out on top.
"Phantom (Forces) is a more focused quality game..."
Then would you care to explain why the game still suffers from a lot of technical and balance issues (i.e. poor hit-registration, game-breaking bugs and broken weapon setups like the KS-23M with birdshot before it was nerfed)? The gunplay and customization may be well-made and realistic, but it means nothing if the game's mechanics don't fully function as intended and only 20% of the game's weapons are actually used.
"...while games like Arsenal have MICROTRANSACTIONS for skins, melees, and just customisation..."
You do realize that PF has almost the same exact microtransactions, right? Last time I checked, the only differences here are that in Arsenal the gun skins aren't hot garbage and the melees are purely cosmetic, with little to no gameplay changes whatsoever. (Maybe Stylis would actually get more players if they actually put the same amount of effort into making skins as they would for making new maps or guns. *shrug*)
"...therefore more appealing to snotty little Fortnite mains."
Fortnite kids are pretty annoying, I'll admit. But I wouldn't go so far as to say they're all snotty brats.
"PF is more like a real battlefield experience, revolving around communication, Teamwork and tactics, but Arsenal is a free for all mess."
The only "communication" I see in PF is a bunch of salty players either complaining about one player using annoying weapons (9 times out of 10 it's the BFG) or bragging about how they just got a quad-kill with their Sledgehammer. I've played both games; there is almost no teamwork involved unless you're playing with friends (of which I don't have any...).
I don't know if you see this, but PF and Arsenal happen to be very similar experience-wise. The only difference is that Arsenal came out later and happens to have more polish.
Although I don't play this game anymore, I'd also like to suggest the MP9. I think it should be a low-damage machine pistol with a high rate of fire (I'm thinking 1050) with a 25-round magazine and semi-controllable recoil.
The skin customization on there is amazing! People actually make good skins on there!
Arsenal has even LESS communication on it than PF. Even though chat is worthless like hp on zip 22, Stylis actually put on a team chat only function that allowed you to convey a tiny scrap of info to your teammates.
Truly truly, arsenal is a free for all mess(no team work needed) that is what gave it its shine(for the 1 hour you were playing for).
Pf had more potential, more guns, attachments and skins.
What does Arsenal have? some guns that if you really boiled it all down, were just carbon copies minus a damage range or two. The models and animations were really smooth however.
Do you also care to explain that arsenal also has the same problems BUT WORSE? HALF THE TIME YOUR CHARACTRE IS CLIPPING THROUGH THE FLOOR, THE MOBILITY IS BULLSH*T AND THE HIT REG IS WORSE THAN PF WILL EVER BE. The meat and animation are really smooth but they lacked in transition. Scoping in? Pfft, whats that? Getting shot at? JUST SPAM THE ALMIGHTY HELL AT THEM, you'll get a kill eventually.
The way I see it:Arsenal is extremely fun! Tons of fun, you get nearly every gun at your disposal and you can run around(most of the time if you're not clipping onto objects) and just blast your enemies into smithereens.
PF is more quality based, and more on the "for the long run type"
Arsenal is going for the "In the moment" type of thing.
I’ve always pictured PF as a sandbox for using your favorite firearms. I mean, ignoring the reskins, we have a lot of unique weapons that no hyper-competitive shooter would need. Just something to think about.
Arsenal is obviously the more competitively-based game, though PF is very competitive, but in a different way. PF is also very versatile as it allows a larger demographic of people who like competitive play and people who just want to use their favorite guns.
"It's more realistic" Well yes, but is putting the Swarovski Scope on other guns realistic? Should I be able to put the Hensoldt on my SKS? No.
Phantom Forces seems to have somewhat lost its meaning to me, unfortunately. And most of the playerbase don't seem to care about realism, so stuff like this goes ahead. The Animu Sight somewhat pushed it...this is a bit too far.
More snipers, secondaries, and DMRs are needed, but Stylis needs to make new guns not some over saturated overpowered garbage and instead make a decent gun. Also, what happened with equipment? It would be fun if they added equipment like a Kevlar jacket, Med kit, e.t.c.
For the 1858NA and the Henry .45/70, they are actually "recreations" of the real models, manufactured for modern usage. The 1858NA is based on the Remington Model 1858, while the Henry .45/70 is based on the Henry repeating rifle.
Admiral Klinge, for the case of the Mosin, it's there because it's actually been in use continuously today, even in the Russian Federation. Infact, there are other versions of the Mosin-Nagant than that of the original M1891, the model in-game.
The thing is, the only reason why its still in use this far late is because there is nothing else better. The price of your average mosin nagant is around 200-350 dollars. Stil dirt cheap compared to any up to date weapon around there.
The only redeeming factor of the mosin is its cheapness.
The way I see, an old gun being used in "advanced tactical warfare" situations is only fitting if the gun is like, actually good lol.
Also, what makes the revolver and lever gun fit with this definition imo really comes down to the possible misconception that firing a big magnum round from a revolver has an advantage over some semi-auto 9mm. And that a lever gun being used over a bolt action has an advantage because the operator using it prefers lever guns and can more effectively use a lever gun over something more conventional.
The Mosin just kinda sucks, apparently. Why would you use it? Use a Mauser98 which is such a great rifle that a majority of the bolt actions we see today are derivatives of the platform.
I think they should add C14 Timberwolf (Sniper). But it's probably not going to happen. Stylis needs to add more grenades like some tear gas or smoke grenades. I'm pretty shoure they have fist (Brass Knuckles). They still haven't added equipment yet wich is dissapointing.
I feel like they should just take a break on the updates and let people get a feel for the guns that already exist in game so they know what guns they like. Because most people just use the new guns that phantom forces makes. I would say prepare updates for when you need them for example, if the game is loosing players or you see a decline or what ever then post an update. Or just post an update every month or so.
Since the devs have been doing heavy experimentation with ammo conversions recently, I'd like to see an FN Minimi MK3 (instead of your basic M249) chambered by default in 5.56 NATO but with an ammo conversion to 7.62 NATO.
The musket thing was a joke lol.
I have some better suggestions than a 1600s rifle:
FN Ballista (sniper)
SAR 21 (A.R) (comes with built in 1.5x scope like Aug A1)
Mossberg 500 (shotgun)
Oden (A.R or B.R) (like the one from MW)
