A discussion dedicated to our two most powerful sniper rifles- BFG and SFG!
A bad thing if you use SFG AND BFG
If too many people are there and you miss all of your shots
And if all of ur enemies notices you
You need to reload
But enemies might rush to you and kill u
sfg>bfg because of that walkspeed
the most unfair setup with 2 ballistics tracker and vertical grip xd
the good news is (to balance this monstrosity) when players (that can't even hit headshots) uses this has the 50 (100000000) % chance to miss a shot; thus switching to the sfg and shot the player again but misses again (ha what an idiot) has to reload this gun thus getting him killed...or if u know how to use a knife u can still win the fight but it is ur last resort when u can't even hit an enemy with a gun even tho ur enemy is 6 feet away from u...;)
sfg is good when you are using along with a shotgun. I normally don't use BFG due to its walkspeed and the hate that I get. Besides, sfg requires more skill because of the drop.
Treat the BFG/SFG as an orbital strike weapon. Single shot, long cool down, that sort of thing. Yea if there are many enemies, your basically screwed every which way, no matter what rifle you’re using. Sniper rifles are for long distance support, not running around like a Faze wannabe. Although I DO main the duo in most maps, and I constantly get kicked out for being a hacker.
The trick is lasers. They provide stabilisation but also can be used as a visual guide. Not very good in automatic weapons, but semi automatic weapons are great with lasers. Say your running around on the rooftops in Ravod. An enemy jumps ya. Most players used to assault guns would spray and panic, but experienced users would point the laser in the general direction and try to get a hit. Same rules apply to the FGs.
If I had to put forward my 2 cents of advice, it'd be: "only use this gun for picking off individual targets at a safe and reasonable distance". Seriously, people should know that there is a certain proximity in which to use the BFG 50 and a certain scenario in which to use the BFG 50. I only use this gun for (as Twinkbunsthe7th stated before) an orbital strike gun, for picking off individual targets. If there are too many enemies rushing at you, and the distance between you and your enemies is short, do not use the BFG 50 in self defense.
I guess using both FG’s and sticking lasers for short range insta kills was a mistake
